Champagne Taittinger Reception at Special Surprise location leaving L’Auberge Carmel at 12 PM Sharp In 1952, the Taittinger Champagne House created its most exclusive and premium cuvée, the Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs, in honor of the Comtes de Champagne and in particular, Thibaud IV, whose seal proudly adorns every bottle of Taittinger. It is made only with Chardonnay grapes from the Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs region, including the villages of Avize, Cramant, Chouilly, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger, which all have a renowned soil quality for this particular variety in the region. This very special Rarities of the Sea lunch will feature rare Comtes Des Champagne Blanc and Rosé including the celebrated 2002. Hosted by Aubergine's Executive Chef Justin Cogley and Pastry Chef Yulanda Santos, the lunch will include the finest caviar from Graham Gaspard’s Black River Caviar and other luxury rarities of the sea ingredients skillfully prepared by Relais & Châteaux Chefs including the incredible Chef Melissa Rodriguez of Del Posto in New York, internationally acclaimed Chef Mark Lundgaard of Kong Hans Kælder, and Twin Farms superstar Chef Nathan Rich.
