David Fink, CEO of Mirabel Hotel & Restaurant Group, who owns the famed Relais & Châteaux L’Auberge Carmel and Michelin starred Aubergine Restaurant, as well as Cantinetta Luca, and Relais & Châteaux GourmetFest, has just announced plans for GourmetFest 2021. As you may already know, David and his team are developing a small luxury hotel and restaurant in the historic center of Beaune, France the epicenter for Burgundy wines. The hotel to be called Maison 1896, after the year of construction of the original building, is designed to feature 16 guest rooms including two suites, a small bar, Salon Prive, and a restaurant featuring a glass atrium. Maison 1896 is a one minute walk to the ancient Hospice de Beaune. David is also adding to his luxury portfolio in Carmel by taking over management of the Sandpiper Inn which will undergo a major renovation in 2020 and be repositioned as another small luxury inn just steps from Carmel Beach. In addition, David and his partner Janet are constructing their personal residence in Carmel and with these numerous projects, he has elected to postpone the 2020 GourmetFest and dedicate 2021 to be an event that features some of the greatest Domaines of Burgundy to help celebrate the opening his new hotel in the Spring of 2021. We look forward to welcoming our guests to the 7th Relais & Châteaux GourmetFest in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California March 4-7, 2021 for another spectacular year of food and wine!
